Couple Therapy and Relationship Counseling

No matter who or how you love, or what your title may be, relationship counseling can help to create lasting, fulfilling, and mutually beneficial bonds with your significant other. We consider ourselves to be ‘process consultants’, which means we focus on what is actually happening without judgment.  As a ‘process consultant’, we track and identify interpersonal processes and dynamics that might affect how you and your partner(s) behave towards one another. This is true regardless of what your relationship looks like or how your relationship may have started.

We see couples who are currently dating;  in casual relationships; in long-term relationships; those who are married; those who are divorced; those who are separated; those who are ‘taking a break’; and even couples who are currently being affected by infidelity.  We work with couples wherever they are to determine what is happening and why it is happening. We gather the facts and help interpret and present the underlying process to our clients, as well as explain relevant research and data that may apply. We leave the decision making about what ‘should’ or ‘shouldn’t’ happen to the couple.

Some of the factors we explore in couple therapy are attachment styles, love languages, communication styles, healthy and unhealthy boundaries, personality, sexual health and preference, trauma, family of origin, and emotional maps.
